If you are a passionate parent/booster/student join YHS, Wakefield and W-L boosters as we host Daktronics and their full-size scoreboard for a demonstration of its capabilities.

The board will be at Wakefield THIS Friday - May 20th from 1PM-3PM.

Come by and see how awesome this board truly is!

The new screen will enable us to:

Customize the screen for the particular sport being played on the field

Generate school spirit and enhance the fan experience with messages projected during the games

Recognize accomplishments of our sports teams AND our non-athlete students

Recognize individual students during celebrations such as Senior Night

What a Win!  What a Season!  Yorktown Field Hockey wins the Class 6 State Championship!  With 4 1st Team All Region Players (5 1st Team All District Players), 1 2nd Team All Region Player (5 2nd Team All District Players), 1 All District Honorable Mention, the Northern Region and Liberty District Player of the Year and the Northern Region and Liberty District Coach of the Year – your Yorktown Patriots played through a tough State Tournament with a final 1-0 win over Western Branch in the final to become the first Field Hockey State Champions in Yorktown history!

Northern Region Champions!!!

They did it!  Yorktown Field Hockey wins the Northern Region!  With 5 1st Team All District Players, 5 2nd Team All District Players, 1 Honorable Mention, the Liberty District Player of the Year and the Liberty District Coach of the Year – your Yorktown Patriots have arrived!  

We enter the State Quarter Finals tournament as the Northern Region 1 seed.  Our first matchup is Robinson, Tuesday November 9, 2021 at Greenbrier Stadium!  

Call your friends – bring your neighbors.  Let’s get loud and cheer our athletes onto a State Championship!

Yorktown Football Salutes Virginia Hospital Center

The Yorktown High School (YHS) football boosters presented the staff at Virginia Hospital Center (VHC) with bouquets of discount cards to say thank you for their work during the pandemic and beyond.  The cards include discounts to local businesses within the YHS and VHC community who sponsor the football program.
