We are FRC team 9033 “Ocebots,” and we strive to emphasize the value of the
STEAM community. We have great regard for our responsibility to provide the
community with the great opportunities that we receive as FIRST robotics team
members, specifically, exposure to STEAM in engaging, interactive ways. We focus
on spreading STEAM within our school first and foremost, but also want to expand
our reach into our community to inspire a love of STEAM within everyone. In
addition to inspiring STEAM we work to teach team members vital life skills in
teamwork and leadership, as well as useful technical skills in CAD, manufacturing,
programming, and business.
We welcome all students at Yorktown High School, regardless of experience! If you are a student at or coming to Yorktown High School, we invite you to email us at ocebots@gmail.com. (we check often) We also do almost all of our communication through Discord, so you will need to join that for other info like meeting schedules and locations. Our faculty advisor is Mr. Painter (room 200) if you have any immediate questions. At the beginning of the school year, we go to club fairs for 9th graders as well as all grades, so we hope to see you there!
