Senior Night

Girls Senior Night is on May 18th (Updated). Boys Senior Night will be on May 20th. The Seniors will be accompanied by their parents will be honored at Halftime during the game that day.

2021 Tryout Information

YHS Girls Soccer tryouts begin on April 12, 2021 (a school holiday!) — do not arrive more than 5 minutes early. The timing is as follows:

  • Monday/12 – 9-11 a.m. at YHS turf
  • Tuesday/13 – 3:15-4:45 p.m. at YHS turf
  • Wednesday/14 – 3:30-5 p.m. at Williamsburg Middle School (NEW!)
  • Thursday/15 – 5-6:30 p.m. at YHS turf (NEW!)

All students must have a valid VHSL physical on file in the Yorktown Student Activities office to participate. Physicals can be emailed to [email protected]

Due to COVID-19, students must:

  1. Stay home if they are feeling ill or have had contact with someone who tested positive in the last 14 days. Please contact Coach Hannah if this applies to you.
  2. Bring water to last you the entire practice as water will not be provided.
  3. Wear an ear-loop mask throughout practice.
  4. Answer screening questions and have temperature checked upon entering.

Please note that there is a Soccer Boosters Meeting scheduled for April 21 via Zoom.

OK Team Yorktown – We need to raise $134K to upgrade our aging scoreboard and sound system.  You’ll see below that this is a significant upgrade for our student athletes.  We’re officially challenging all Patriots (current and alums), parents, and friends to help us cross the goal line!

 

And we’re going to have a little competition….

 

Each field sport is challenging the others to see who can raise the most for the new Scoreboard.

 

Don’t play a field sport?  We still need your help – so support your friends by donating to their team’s challenge!

 

Winning team will receive a donut party, player by player recognition at half-time on the field and on the big board at a Varsity home football game, and an unlimited pizza, ice cream and pool party!

 

Parents:  You’re the key to our students’ success and this scoreboard will offer some awesome capabilities to enhance our programs – We’ll be able to recognize our individual athletes during games and at key events like Senior Night.  We’ll be able to show live game footage in the stadium!  This isn’t an upgrade to our current board – it’s a revolution!

The field sports of YHS (Field Hockey, Football, Lacrosse, and Soccer) have united in a fundraising campaign to replace our aging stadium scoreboard and sound system with a state of the art fully digital LED scoreboard. The new screen will enable us to:
